The Word SYNOD

Five different and unique letters in relationship with each other.

Like the meaning of the word – “common road” – all five letters dance together to create a movement and meaning.

Synod is like . . .

. . . . letters coming together to form words,

. . . . words coming together to form sentences,

. . .. sentences coming together to form paragraph,

. . . . paragraphs coming together to form a chapter,

. . . chapters coming together to form a story,

. . . stories coming together to form a book,

. . .  books coming together to form a library,

. . . libraries coming together to form a collection of stories – all different yet similar, but together they tell the story of humanity, the story of the Church, not my story, not the story of one race, religion, ethnicity, community, family, or nation, but our story.

Synod, a journey of one people, each member contributing his or her own letters, words, sentences, paragraphs, chapters, stories, books, and libraries. Without one, the whole is unattainable.

This collection of stores opens wide the door for the Spirit to enter and move within and among us.

Will you gift your letter, word, sentence, paragraph, chapter, story, book, and library so that together we discover the direction of the Wind?
