I meet an adult Theo—

recalls a toddling Trini, Theo,
miraculously born
two years ago and two days
before the Feast of Our Lady of the Assumption,
August 15.
A chosen woman, Mary,
who gave birth to Theo—
the Son of God.
To my Trini Theo,
Blessed Birthday!
Your name, God,
reminds you
that you are blessed.
The closeness of your birth to Mary’s feast
reminds you
that, like Jesus,
You emerged from a blessed womb.
