Relay of Life

Our days begin
with
planning, projects, and programmes,
building relationships
through
discussions, debates, and drives, dialogue.

We strive for perfection, but we accept imperfections.
We seek completion but acknowledge incompletion.
We aim for order, yet we encounter disorder.
We hope for calm, but experience chaos.

Nothing in life is usually perfect, complete, orderly or calm.
Nonetheless, we start,
knowing that a beginning is part of the relay of life.
Somehow, life’s races reap unexpected and unforeseen rewards.
