Protective Shields

We need protective shields.

Umbrellas protect us from the sun’s fierce rays.

Buildings protect us from the natural elements.

Trees protect us from the brutality of the sun’s rays.

Clothing protects our tender skin.

Human skin protects our bodies and organs.

Sunglasses protect our delicate eyes.

We need protective shields.

Children need the protective shield of parents, schools, communities, families, religious groups, and the state.

Citizens need the protective shield of a well-oiled judiciary system.

Mentally ill persons need the protective shield of a professional and caring mental health system.

Physically challenged persons need the protective shield of legislations.

The unborn needs the protective shield of a formed conscience and state laws.

The elderly needs the protective shield of families, friends, state.

Everyone. Everyone needs the protective shield of friendships.

Citizens need the protective shield of green public spaces.

Homeless persons need the protective shield of decent houses.

Abused women need the protective shield of the state, families, and friends.

We need the protective shield of security from law enforcement.

We need protective shields.

We need socio-economic, psychological, spiritual, mental, and physical protective shields.
