Listening and Awareness

Listening is awareness, awareness of what’s happening within and around me. In me and around me, there’s mystery – hidden within my moods and emotions.

THE MYSTERY OF JOY

Listening is awareness that I am joyful at the birth of my child.

Listening is awareness that I feel satisfied with my school examination results.

Listening is awareness that I feel joy speaking with someone I love.

Listening is awareness that I feel sexually aroused with a partner or a stranger.

Listening is awareness of feeling affirmed when someone says, “You did a good job.”

Listening is awareness that my child feels comfortable in a new school.

Listening is awareness that I feel happy to receive shelter and food.

THE MYSTERY OF SORROW

Listening is awareness that I feel the anxiety, imprisonment and sadness of a pandemic society.

Listening is awareness that my son/daughter feels sad and bored with online teaching.

Listening is awareness of feeling the grief of a family whose son has been murdered.

Listening is awareness of feeling excluded from a group.

Listening is awareness that I am feeling angry because I am judged wrongfully.

Listening is awareness of the pain I feel when I hear about depression, suicidal tendency and anxiety among our COVID-19 children.

THE MYSTERY OF GLORY

Listening is awareness that my football team is victorious.

Listening is awareness that I feel fulfilled at the end of a successful career.

Listening is awareness of the feeling of accomplishment.

Listening is awareness of the jubilant feelings of a family as a child overcomes a terminal illness, or children are able to return to face-to-face schooling.

THE MYSTERY OF LIGHT

Listening is awareness that I feel nervous and anxious before a public presentation.

Listening is awareness that I feel anxious, as an introvert, in a large group setting.

Listening is awareness that I feel uncomfortable in the company of an evil person.

Listening is awareness of the feeling of hope of the society that sees the light at the end of the COVID-19 pandemic tunnel.

Listening is awareness.  Awareness is listening.

Those who have hearts to listen, let them become aware. Aware of what the Spirit is saying in and through my moods and emotions.

“An unaware life is a life not worth living” (Socrates)
